Limited Edition Teddy Bear

An exciting new addition to the wonderful Hawick tartan range is a soon-to-be launched limited edition teddy bear.

Ideas are being sought to find a name for the prestigious bear – destined to be a highly sought-after collectable by visitors and locals alike.

The Hawick tartan teddy will be a limited edition numbered bear, presented boxed with its own scroll certificate of authenticity.

We would love for the people of Hawick to be involved in finding a suitable name for the teddy. And although “Teri the teddy” is an obvious choice, we would love to hear ideas for a suitable name.

The name has to encompass Hawick, and we would love children to be involved, and get their thinking caps on!

Teddy’s official launch is being planned for the beginning of November, and we need a name before we can do that.

The impressive bears can be viewed at six outlets in the town from next week. Then, after their launch, they will be on sale for £95 each.

They’ve not been made as a toy, and are aimed mainly at the tourist market.

These striking bears are made with the exclusive Hawick tartan in 100% lambswool.

The Hawick tartan teddy can be viewed at Johnstons of Elgin in Mansfield Road, William Lockie in Commercial Road, Border Brides and the Borders Textile Tower House in Tower Knowe, Dorwards   and North Port in the High Street, from next week.
